At NCRCs on 4/18, the Vikings took 2nd place in the Varsity 8+ with a time of 6:38.13 and Varsity 4+ with a time of 7:09.28. The Novice 4+ took 3rd with the time of 7:36.08! The Vikings are pleased with the results and are looking forward to competing in Sacramento, CA for the WIRA Championship. These next two weeks will be filled with a lot of training to prepare! This weekend, April 25th, we would like to take the opportunity to invite everyone to the boat house to enjoy a day on the lake! We will have the annual Alumni vs. Vikings 500m race, along with food, friends, and family! Weather dependent, we will be able to give everyone a chance to row, so parents, get ready!

| UPS Dual Regatta |
The Vikings hosted the UPS Loggers at Lake Samish this past weekend (4/11/09). The Varsity 4+ and Varsity 8+ took second in both boats, but have high hopes of turning that around at NCRCs. The Novice 4+ took first this weekend, beating UPS by almost 10 seconds! The boat lineup was: Jeff Nesbitt, Nick Goodman, Ken Tran, Pat Shum, and coxed by Jo Krogh. Come support the Vikings on 4/18 at Lake Stevens for the Northwest Collegiate Rowing Conference Championship, a qualifying race for WIRA. Everyone is also invited to come to Alumni Day, hosted by the current Vikings at Lake Whatcom in Lakewood. Come for a day of racing, rowing, great company and food!

| Daffodil Cup |
The Daffodil Cup went well for the Vikings last weekend (3/28/09). The V8+ and V4+ came in 3rd behind UPS and WSU. Unfortunately timing disqualified the N4+, but we have high hopes for them at our UPS dual on 4/11 at Lake Sammish. The Daffodil Cup was a good indicator that our season will only get better, as it has in the past. This weekend, 4/4, the Vikings will be rowing at University of Washington against the Huskies in the Husky Open at Montlake Cut. The race times will be: Varsity 8+ at 8:50am, Novice 4+ at 10:20am, and Varsity 4+ at 10:40. Hope to see you there!
